Mr.Husband was worried that am using my real name for the blog. Same concern with few of my friends.
"Why don't you use a pen name so that you'll have more freedom?" he added.
"Really?, I wanna own what I write, what's the point of starting the blog otherwise?", I quipped rolling my eyes.
Do they all genuinely think that I would write something so controversial that it requires anonymity?; otherwise it would land me in a lawsuit?
BOY! I was flattered!
My 10 year old DS overhears every word we speak. Call him 100 times, he wouldn't even turn his head or respond. But, for this, FOR THIS, he wants to respond even though I wasn't even asking him.
"Mummy! Do not put our personal content on the internet!"
I started sweating, so much pressure even before I start? Whew!
I agreed that I would use nicknames for every person I refer to protect their so-called privacy. No stealth mode for me. Period.
Now, the focus shifted to the name of the blog. "Rant" isn't sounding "Positive".
Seriously? After this pandemic, I thought the word positive itself was re-invented. Well, life is not a bed of roses, or maybe it is, just that the thorns are hiding behind those beautiful petals. This blog is meant to be my mind voice; it needs to reflect the true emotions that I experience. This is not a happily ever after fairy tale. But, I saw their point of view and to be honest, my intention wasn’t any different. I have always believed, life can throw a million things at you. We need to have the grit to face it and turn it around for the better.

I remembered the all time classic 'The Shawshank Redemption' movie quote.
“Hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.”
Hearing these was indeed moving!
So, let's bring on the good vibes. I changed the name to "The Good Rant".
Everybody is happy : )
PS: If you haven't watched the movie, do take the time to watch it, its pretty long for an English movie but rated 9.3/10 by IMDB. It’s on Amazon Prime & Netflix.
